If You Cancel An Event, Don’t Forget To Tell The Local Singer

I was supposed to sing today at a local Holiday Tea for a church, but they forgot to tell me that they cancelled the event.  I found out last night when I called the lady who was in charge of it to make sure I was singing today, since I hadn’t heard back from her after I had commited to do it.

I almost laughed.   Then, I called Jodi Hardman because she was going to be the piano player for the event.  We were both a little amused that they would cancel the whole event without even telling us.  Well, it all worked out, though because Jodi invited me to sing at a different event that she is in charge of.  I think she’ll follow up a little better.  We can use one of the songs we were going to use for the Holiday Tea.

The best part of it all is we have an extra week to practice and only one number instead of the whole show.  I love it and I’m still laughing.  Good thing I didn’t put too much time into it or I’d be upset.
