Local Legends: Annie Get Your Gun

The Local Legends show in Caldwell, Idaho was a fun time once again.  We sang “Anything You can Do, I Can Do Better” from Annie Get Your Gun.  We knew it was going to be a great show when we saw the limo at the front door with a fake Dollie, Elvis, Rod Stewart, and others.    The Local Legends is a fund raiser for Caldwell, Idaho.  They have a contest to see which act has the richest friends.  They have cans for each act that you’re supposed to put money in to vote for your favorite act.  They count up the money and see which act wins.  Our can had a picture of us looking like cartoon cutouts from Annie Get  Your Gun.  I had to laugh when I saw it.

We had some sweet people at our table.  After we sang, they said, “I didn’t know we had stars at our table!”  I kind of wondered what they must have thought of our cowboy hats and stuff.

It was a fun show with lots of talented performers.  There were dancers and singers and more dancers and more singers.  The sound was a little loud on a few of the numbers, but all in all, it was a great time.

When we were done singing, they interviewed us and took our pictures for the newspaper.  Kim did all the talking as they interviewed us, since they just had one microphone.  We posed for some silly pictures and then we left to have some dinner since we were starving!

I’m glad my mom came to support us.  It is always more fun when someone we know is in the audience.    She got a video of us.  If it turns out, I’ll post it for you to see.
