Opera Theatre Opens Tonight!
I just took this picture to check my hair and makeup for the stage. Tonight is opening night for the Glenns Ferry Opera Theatre. I’m playing the part of Martha Muldoon, the famous actress who has been staying at a dumpy hotel in the middle of nowhere for the past two years. She doesn’t realize she’s really not that famous and has had her better days.
We’ve been practicing a lot and expect a full house tonight. There are 50 people with dinner reservations and the rest of the seats should sell out for the show. It’s the best food and the show is always fun.
I’ll take a few pictures at the show. I love the theatre. Last year, I wasn’t in it because my baby was too young. I only did a small part one time. It’s good to be back, even though it fills up my time and makes my husband crazy with all the hours we spend rehearsing. It’s still so fun!
They’re trying to sell the theatre. I hope that whoever buys it will keep the shows going. It’s a great part of this community. The theatre is over 100 years old and is in great shape.
My boys are in the show, too. They’re clowns. I’ll be sure and get some pictures of them. Well, I’ve got to go feed my family and get to the show.

Have an awesome time. My kids used to do theatre before they grew up and went to college and got married etc. It was so fun watching them have a blast
